Thayer’s Greek Lexicon

Joseph Henry Thayer (November 7, 1828 – November 26, 1901)

Joseph Henry Thayer went to a Calvinist seminary: Andover Theological Seminary on the campus of Phillips Academy Founded by a Calvinist group in 1807.

Thayer did not Believe in Biblical Inerrancy:

In February 1891 Thayer published a lecture in which he expressed disagreement with the position of Biblical inerrancy, asserting that his own acceptance of various errors of history and science in the Bible did not materially detract from his belief in the overall soundness of Christianity.

WHAT IS Biblical inerrancy? The belief that the Bible “is without error or fault in all its teaching.

Thayer’s Lexicon is a Revised Translation of a Roman Catholic:

Thayer’s Greek–English Lexicon is a revised and translated edition of C.G. Wilke‘s. C.G. Wilke Trained as a Lutheran, he converted to Roman Catholicism in 1846.

Brown-Driver-Briggs Hebrew Lexicon

This Lexicon was produced by three men: Francis Brown, Samuel Rolles Driver, and Charles Augustus Briggs

Francis Brown (December 26, 1849 – 1916)

This school served as the birthplace of the Black theologywomanist theology.  In 1879 Francis became instructor in biblical philology at the Union Theological Seminary

Brown’s published works won him an honorary doctorate of Divinity from the University of Glasgow… This university was founded by Pope Nicholas V. Pope Nicholas V is considered to be the main reason why West Africa was invaded and enslaved by Portugal.
